Our Gracie girl had her 1st birthday on Friday, April1st. We had Gracie's birthday party on Saturday with our family. It was a wonderful day! It's amazing how fast a year can go and how much your life can change. Gracie has been and will continue to be one of the most precious blessings in our lives. She is our LOVE!
Gracie also started walking this week...here she is taking a few steps to show everyone how proud she is of herself!
Our labor of love...Steve and I spent most of the week preparing for Gracie's party by making monkey and peanut sugar cookies. I have called her peanut from the moment she was born. She continues to live up to that name by weighing almost 17 pounds at her 1st birthday. As I'm sure most 1 years old are, Gracie is a fast crawling girl and can get herself into anything and everything she wants. A likely nickname for most 1 year olds, Steve also calls Gracie monkey.
We also celebrated Auntie Ali's birthday - her birthday will probably always be overshadowed since Grace and Ali's birthdays are only 1 day part.
Grace was a little hesitant at first, wondering what this thing was in front of her...but after a while she tasted the frosting goodness and loved every delicious bite!

Grace got a swing for her birthday - thankfully we had a nice sunny afternoon to go for her first ride!
